FLSA – What happened, and what’s next?

As you may well know, last summer the United States federal government put a plan in place to change the minimum wage and overtime requirements under the law titled the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); the changes outlined in FLSA were scheduled to be put into effect on December 1, 2016.  In a last minute effort, Judge Amos Mazzant of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued an order to put the implementation of FLSA on hold.
